A
Christmas greeting
from family Winberg, Åkersberga,
Sweden
We want to
give you a little glimpse of the past year.
The family visited friends and
former neighbours in
Paunzhausen and the neighbourhood of Pfaffenhofen in Bavaria, during
a “nostalgia trip” at the
Easter vacation. We spent some summer weeks as well as half an autumn
week on
the island of Kamsholmen
in Sibbo, Finland. Also in Sweden
we enjoyed
the extremely nice summer in the archipelago and on the sea.
Jens, 4, goes to kindergarten about four days a week.
During the autumn he and his father have participated in a swimming
course. He
also likes biking with the bike he got for his birthday – so far using
supporting wheels – and riding the garden tractor together with one of
his
elder brothers.
Peter, 15, is on his ninth and last year in the
compulsory school, and is now planning for what to study next year.
Last summer
he took part in a confirmation camp on Naissaar (Nargö) and Tallinn, Estonia.
This autumn he bought himself a moped, making it easier to go to school
and
other activities.
Daniel, 18, is on his last year in the “Gymnasium”
(senior
high school). He got his drivers license recently and has now bought a
Volvo
240 which he likes driving around with. During the summer he was
working with
his grandparents’ potato fields on Kamsholmen.
Fredrik,
20, got his drivers license
already in the
beginning of the year and last spring he participated in a sailing
course
getting the “sailing license 1”.
In June he got his examination from the “Gymnasium” and after that he
has
served in the Finnish army, the grenade-thrower company in Nylands
brigad,
Ekenäs.
Helena started in January in a new position within
the same company as before, i.e. the “Danderyds sjukhus” hospital. She
is
working 75%, a mixture of mornings and evenings, in a rehabilitation
clinic. When
not working, she is among many other activities exercising with sticks,
along
the roads or in cross country skiing tracks. Like the other in the
family she
has been engaged in church, e.g. activities with children.
Roger has during the year continued auditing
IT-activities in the TeliaSonera group (Corporate Internal Audit). He
is based
in the head office in Stockholm,
but is from time to time also working in the other Nordic and Baltic
countries.
Also he got his “sailing license 1”, and has together with a varying
crew –
family members and friends – sailed the recently bought family yacht
“Mona-Lisa” (33 feet Targa 101) between Finland, Sweden and Estonia.
Fia, 14 within the next few weeks, is still doing
quite well, even if she with the right of her age is slower than before.
